Alyssa Kwon, MD is a double board-certified general and child and adolescent psychiatrist with extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. She strongly believes in a perspectives approach to diagnostic formulations and treatment care by incorporating illness, dimensional factors, behavioral concerns, and life story factors.
She has worked in various clinical settings, including outpatient, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient, residential/foster care, college mental health, and correctional work. Dr. Kwon is dedicated to working with populations where care is accessible and affordable, leading her to take the role of medical director at Fort Health, where this is the primary mission.
She completed her general psychiatry training at UMDNJ-RWJMS (now Rowan University at Cooper University Hospital) and her child and adolescent fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Kwon enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons and staying active with pilates or boxing—an activity she shares with one of her sons. She also enjoys downtime reading a good book or watching movies with her family.
