Our mission at Fort Health is to give all families access to care as seamlessly as possible. In an effort to ensure we maximize our clinicians’ time with patients, Fort Health is implementing a Cancellation and No Show Policy effective September 1, 2023.
Patients must cancel their appointments at least 48 business hours in advance, either by canceling an appointment in our online portal Healthie or contacting 201-208-2616. Please do not cancel appointments via messaging your provider, they will need to be canceled within the system or by our front desk team to avoid penalties. For Monday appointments, cancellation is needed by the previous Friday.
If you do not cancel with at least 48 hours notice or you do not show up for your appointment, Fort Health reserves the right to charge the card on file a $90 fee. If no payment card is on file, a request will be made to provide payment information. The Healthie portal will not allow you to cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours notice.
We understand things happen, please communicate any changes to an appointment time and the reason why to your clinician or Fort Health staff. Late fees are applied at Fort Health’s discretion.
Appointment reminder texts and emails are sent 3 days, 1 day, and 1 hour before a scheduled appointment.
Repeat late cancellations
A patient who cancels late or no-shows 2 times may forfeit their high demand slot and may only be permitted to reschedule regular sessions in a low demand time slot.• A low demand time slot is considered to be between the hours of 9am-2pm EST• A high demand time slot is considered to be between the hours of 2pm-8:30pm ESTA patient who cancels late or no-shows 3 times is subject to termination of clinical services at the discretion of Fort Health and providing clinician.
Requests to Reschedule or Cancel with more than 48 hours notice:
A patient may request to reschedule or cancel with more than 48 hours notice up to 2 times. At that point the patient will forfeit the time slot and be asked to reschedule at a low demand time.
